Plus! Make sure you dont strip it down to bare plastic, you might sand through in some spots but make sure you use adhesion promoter on the spots you did go through. Plastic is one of the hardest things to paint on account of the plastic having "oils" in it. DX102 is a good plastic cleaner, works wonders. Tack rag it just b4 you spray.

Where can I get ahold of some of this DX102? I just got done removing all the factory decals, but haven't started any sanding yet. I still gotta get the glue off the plastic...will the dx102 do that? I was planning on just using Goo-Gone. Also, any tips on sanding before I start?

Also, there is a pretty decent gash in the lower right fairing...what should i use to kind of fill that in and sand it down before primer?

Plan on a BUNCH of hours stripping glue. A friend of mine is prepping my stuff for paint right now, and between us, we spent about 6hours just stripping off the glue. I'm not sure what it is that we used, but it worked much better than anything else, and we used it on/with scotchbrite pads.

I used some general adheasive remover and a gray scuff pad. Came right off. (glue)

DX102 you can find anywhere you can get paint and stuff like that. For me it was Autovalue, Im not sure of what type of paint stores you have around you.

As for the gash I would use automix plastic repair. I have a write up on it. I might just have to post it up on here for ya.

duplicolor makes an adhesion promoter that is also a primer. Would this stuff be okay?

Where do yo start when trying to strip the graphics? Mine appear to have a clear coat over them, so you can't just pick an edge up and start peeling. My wifes Ninja, just needed a hair dryer and voila! The graphics lifted right off and most of the glue included. It almost looks like you gotta sand an edge to get started...any suggestions?
Thanks

I think mine were clearcoated, I used a razor scraper, but I'm pretty good with one, I stripped my whole S10 pickup with a razor scraper a few years ago, right down to bare metal. [8D]
