Default Will F3 airbox + ram air fit in F2 frame?

Hi guys,

I have an F2 with an F3 engine and I was wondering if the ram air duct would fit. Or, if I have any other options. I wouldn't be too concerned with it, but it doesn't want to run worth a crap unless you are up in the rpm's. I am thinking that the problem is that none of the little air tubes going into the carburetor are hooked up to the air duct.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Josh

im thinkin you prolly need f2 carbs or rhe airbox and f3 fairings so the scoops line up with the ducts

Okay, I got it to fit after I lowered the radiator a couple of inches. Now I guess I need to make some sort of bracket to secure it.

Thanks for the info,
Josh

are you talking about the ram air tubes that go onto the air box....you dont need those for the bike to run good

The piece that sticks out underneath the bottom triple, the main ram air duct. The one that routes the air into the airbox from the front of the bike.

I would like to know what the hoses coming off the ram air duct going into the floats on the carburetors does?

in the F3 section check out the stick e review of the F3 theres a couple of diagrams showing the box ducts and hoses and tells what they do too.

Yeah, I checked that out. Nice review I might add. The review doesn't go into detail as far as what the air going into the floats actually does. I would like to get an understanding of how it works and why.

i never ran the ram air on mine. I heard it hinders the air/fuel mixture and the tubes on the front of the air box is where the air goes in. That should be self explanitory
