RE: Who has changed seals on leaky F2 forks?
I have just done it on my F2.... and it was needed...
Since it was the first time, I did it, I took around 1 hour to take it apart, clean it and put it together with new seals.... so 2 hours for both forks...
If you have your Haynes or Clymer manual, it just to follow the manual.... But I had also the DVD from www.drivenandridden.com as a guide to maintance the forks... and there is a tip how to make your own tool to drive ind the seals....
There is no need for any special tool...

I have change some many forks seals I have lost count. In fact the silverwing is on the rack waiting for me to change them. It isn't hard.
If the forks are leaking then it is the inner fork seal for sure. You will need to break them down to change them.

The dust seals are the ones you can see, another term people use for them is wipers. If you pop them out theres the actual fork seal that is pressed down into the fork tube. search the forum some and you should find some threads where people ran into problems and I wrote a novel about how to do it and whatnot. But its not all that hard to do, you just need a wa to support the front end of the bike without the wheel and forks on it.
