i got the headlight for my f2 and found out the previous owner has cut the brackets of the front stay and i was wondering what the bracket looks like any help would be much appreciated thanks

 

My F2 headlight bolted to the plastic on the front.... is that what you mean by the front stay?

 

No, he means the birdcage/fairing stay... the metal bracket that holds the gauges and the mirror mounts and the headlight.

there are two rubber grommets on the fairing stay that the two plastic thingys (light grey triangle) on the headlight fit in. kinda like the way the rear fairing has rubber grommets that you push the plastic (triangle/pyramid locater things) into.

(sorry, that is probably hard to understand )

Hmm, thats what mine looks like pretty much, but my headlight doesn't bolt to it, there are two plastic tabs that slide into those holes but no bolts. This makes me confused! lol
