I just wanted to add that I too really, really love my F2 (-92). At least when she's running. I have tinkered so much with her but when she roars and we are cruising in the city, stealing looks from pedestrians I am truly happy. Yes, I know she was meant to run fast but I am not so I enjoy my slow (up to 80 km/h) rides and city viewings.
Very sexy machine!! Yes these bikes definitely still get a lot of attention when on the road today. Possibly the first major breakthrough for a 600cc race bike, they are an important piece of history when you consider what they did on the track in the early 90's. They were the best of their time. For that, they should always carry respect. As for the Katana, I can't say i've really heard anything good about them other than the fact that they seem to be quite reliable. But hey, they were never built as a true race bike. I will say there are some pretty cool looking katanas out there, with nice colors, but you get what you pay for. With the F2, (assuming you shop right) you get a little bit more than you pay for.
