Is it very important that you use cable B?
Yes, absolutely required.

Default Short Project Time

Wow. Somebody stole my CBR600F2 project bike from my front porch last night. It was a freebie from a friend but it had a clear title and everything. i guess aomebody stole it for scrap metal. Freakin meth heads.

Called around to the scrap yards. They took my name and number. They also wanted the VIN number. I guess it's gone but I was really getting into this bike. I have mostly Harleys but was looking forward to riding my first sport bike.

Dropped the engine to check if the cylinder head gasket is leaking, removed the front wheel, repositioned the speedometer and fabricated a simple bracket to install a new speedo sensor.

Default 50 cent fuse big problem

I spoke too soon a few days ago. After running great my project went south fast. Bike would run terrible then die and lose all electrical. Completely dead! But then would come alive later
Checked ground, battery connections. Even took apart the ignition. Nothing! Was checking the fuse and found this. It wasn't blown but it was a cheap knockoff type of fuse. Could not figure it out until I removed it. The other fuse in the picture is the spare that is now in the bike. It explains some of the weird electrical gremlins I was having when I I last rode the bike years ago.

Dielectric grease is your friend.
Especially on older bikes.
Buy a big tube and put that sh*t on everything.
Ok, maybe not your burrito, but everything else.

That's a pretty respectable time. Nothing to sneeze at.
