i finally found a place to mount the sensor for MPH on fender that i think will work.

now having a problem getting the magnet to stay attached to rim. anyone have a suggestion on glue or something that will work.

Acewell 2702AB Series Motorcycle Digital Speedometer:eBay Motors (item 350268981802 end time Nov-22-09 07:51:27 PST)

i got it from ebay for like 120 bucks plus shipping. thought it would be worth trying out since my bankroll is suffering because ive been laid of work for several months now. seems to have more issues than i thought unless i overlooked something.

thanks

Did you ever get your rpm to work right?

sorry i havent gotten back, i have school this week and the boy after that so pretty hectic 'round here.

i did get the rpm hooked up on way that the "manual" says, but after looking at some other literature about other guages and half-a$$ed deciphering mine im going to try something else.

will post with updates as soon as i get them accomplished.

sorry it took so long, been extreamly busy with school this last week or so.

so heres whats new. through a lil bit of luck and tiny bit of ingenuity i found that the rpm on the new guaga could be calibrated, so i took the lead coming off of that and spliced it onto the origional wire from the harness instead of wrapping it around a plug wire like the instructions said. seems to be working well.

the battery is dead on the bike so i havent been able to see if the mph is going to work the way i have it.

but it looks like the guage i bought will work just more guessing game than i thought it would be.

the only thing i can say that i dont like already is the guage is small and hard to read in certain lighting conditions. so take that into account when making your own purchases. let me know if you guys get one and how it turns out for you, i will try to help with any questions you guys encounter.

I was kind of looking into getting one of these but I think I will stay away now. I can't deal with no being able to read my gauges
