Default universal stands

I found these universal stands in a magazine (Cycle World Dec. 05, Page 125)and was wondering if anyone has them. They are at www.handyindustries.com and only cost $99.00 for both the front and back. Any comments or suggestions?

check out the ones from our sponsor Checkered Flag. I'm not trying to sell anyone here, but these poped up right after I orderd my $115 vortex and they look the same. Except you get front and rear for $100. Look at the caster wheels, four are better than two....

no problem... you guys can learn from my mistake. if I had waited a couple of days, I would have bought the ones from checkered flag. Hell, I still plan on buying them. I need to front stand, so I might as well buy the set and use my vortex as a spare.

Can you get the front wheel off with that style of stand? I have a set of those Checkered Flag Motorsports ones but i'm not sure because of how it holds the bike.

I'm looking for stands too. Since I have to get my bike in a tight space in my garage, these look really interesting: Redline Engineering. They allow you to rotate the bike 360 while up on stands. Not cheap, but I will probably go with these.

They have the regular (non-swivel) stands too.

The only downside to the swivel stands, is that they require spools. For those of us with an F4i, that can be an issue.

nice stands... not sure if I'd want the bike to move that easily.

The casters lock so it won't move if you don't want it to. I'm still stuck on whether or not I want to drill my swing arm for spools, though. Seems like a big step.

What kind of bike do you have? Most sportbikes produced in the last few years already have a threaded area on the swingarm where you just install the spools for use with the rear stand. Just make sure you get the right size and use locktite on the threads when you install them.
