Default trying to remove gas tank

I've gotten all but one of the lines disconnected.. the main gas line is really stuck.. what kind of tool should i be using to remove this thing without breaking the line? I don't think its ever been removed.. i need to remove the tank to get access to the carbs to be cleaned..

use a hose removal tool, or pick and pull it off.

If you can fit a pair of pliers, just grab it firmly but gently and twist it back and to to break the hose loose... Then should slid off.

After you get it off, if it's really stiff/hard you might consider replacing it.
20 year old lines are starting to venture into the cracking/leaking/hazardous zone.

Most auto stores sell fuel line by the foot. Just be sure to get hose rated for fuel.

Yea use a pair of needle nose pliers to yank it off. If that doesn't work and you are sure that the hose it cracking and old, than just cut it with a pair of dikes and replace the fuel line. That fuel line is really inexpensive, if you do resort to cutting it and you still cant yank it off with pliers than carefully use a very small standard screw driver to dislodge the hose from the nipple. With old hoses they seem to fuse together making it seemingly impossible to take off. Just be careful with the screw driver to ensure that you don't ruin the nipple on the petcock.

Does anyone sell some kind of universal quick disconnect I can splice in? I always hate removing that line.
