Actually, just to keep the facts in line -- in NY state any motorcycle (vehicle?) over ten years old does not need to report its mileage. But at 14k, my '92 can't get all that much younger...

granted but it is still shady if u were to buy a bike saying it had 4000 miles on it and come to find it had 24000 tell me u wouldnt be p***ed

If you're buying a bike from 92 with 4,000 miles on it, you'd probably have to worry about carb issues from spending most of it's life sitting. You can only fake the funk so far!

i was putting that out there as a example not as actually sayin the bike has 4000

Jeeez you guys are so stiff!

Honestly, the guy can just go grab a set of used gauges for cheap. The part where I say lowering milage and the devils face, yeah that's my effort at letting you guys know I'm not being serious about that as an advantage to taking this route.

You'd have to be a beginner to trust the odometer on a front axle fed speedometer anyways. The damn thing is a breeze to disconnect, fails all the time, vibrates out, and isn't even accurate to begin with.
