Default Tools for engine removal...

Do you need a rear stand to pull an engine (assuming you don't have someone willing to hold the bike up for half an hour or so)?

I have a jack for the engine... but nothing to hold the bike up-right.

I hang the bike from the rafter of my garage. I use two soft ties around each frame spare just behind the gussets at the neck, then attach two tie downs to each side up the the rafter to suspend the bike. Make sure the beam can support the load. Aslo be careful with the jack...those tabs on the oil pan are fragile. It's still a two person job (always good to have a buddy around) and good luck on the project.

Is the F2 supposed to have a center stand?

Also, I wonder if the cheapo rear stands on eBay are safe to use...

The center stand is talked about in the manual (Honda probably just pulled it from the Common Manual). I remember see it.

I don't ever remember actually seeing an F2 with a center stand.

Damn, I just realized that the T-Rex stands are cheaper and better looking than the one I bought...
