Default Throttle mods?

Is there a way to make the stock throttle tube more track friendly? (ie, reach full open a few degrees sooner) I find it really hard to get to full throttle with gauntlet gloves on, when riding normally.

well I just finished modifying the stock throttle, cleaning the carbs, new fork oil etc..Got it all back together and boy is it different.....[sm=smiley20.gif]sweet....[sm=smiley20.gif]sweet.....sweet[sm=icon_rock.gif] and that's just testing it up and down the street. Will be at Streets of Willow on the 25th of this month to really try it out. The only thing I still must do is fine tune the suspesion before I crack the throttle like I want to.......All I can say is take your time when doing this mod....don't rush it....I was also told that the 04 R1 throttle tube is a plug and play ordered one for a back up as well for spare parts...

here is the Link that I used to do the mod.....You will need a "Dremel" for the light grinding

Twissta...The Throttleman....!!!!

P.s. when y get in there just allow it to make sense to you loosening the throttle cables etc....

It makes more sense to pay 9 dollars for a brand new R1 throttle tube than ghetto rigging the stock one... because screwing up your throttle on a big sport bike can equal death.

well if the new tube wheel circumfrence is larger than your stock housing then you will have to ghetto rig it anyway I did not chage anything to the housing other than allowing the wheel to move freely. Anyway you asked for mod's not upgrades.....thought I toss you what was out there and I ahve actually done....
