Default Starting problem

I'm almost done the rebuild of my project bike a 91 f2 I had it running although rough and then the bike died. Tried turning it over it wants to catch but doesn't I get a nice ear full of backfire every once in a while. Took out the plugs which are new but have had it running with them in. Plugs were a little wet so it cleaned them, checked the spark and a nice blue spark is present. I'm drawing 12.30 volts under load at the battery, no blown fuses I have the tank & air filter housing off. The fuel in the tank is new, all hoses hooked up. I tried a little gas directly into the carbs but no luck. Tonight I took the carbs off and cleaned. Nothing on the bike has been adjusted. I haven't put the carbs back on yet as it's 1:30am and I'm ready for bed. Oh yes the run switch is on. I tried blowing out the gas by turning the run switch off and turing over the bike but this did not work. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, I'll put the carbs on tomorrow and clean the plugs again. I haven't done a compression test but why would I lose compression the engine is strong and generally running great.

I'd also recommend letting the plugs sit out of the bike so that everything dries up. When you start it do you have the tank on, along with the vacuum line?

What's the temperature where you are at?

My brand new supermoto takes about 20 minutes to start (kicking) when it's below zero

I've had the tank on and now off either way it didn't start and the temp is cool around -2c outside I put a heater on the bike for a few hours but no luck. I'll take the plugs out for a while. Is there a good and safe way to blow any gas that might be in the camber out?

Basically all you can do is take the plugs out and let it evap.

Maybe a light stream of compressed air to get things moving around

to speed the dryig up take a top off a carb cleaning can and put it on a starting fluid can and squirt some in the plug holes.will dry all the gas up pretty fast.

Talking Going again

Well it was a drawn out repair but I got it going. I took the plugs out, carbs off and cleaned both, left it for a couple of days. Today I put everything back after having the heater blasting away in my garage and she fired up quickly. Nothing beats the sound of a motor purring. Thanks to those who offered advice. I'll keep everyone updated to the progress made as it gets warmer and it I put the bike back together.
