Default RE: UPDATE!!!

Wow.... all I have to say is WOW!! Everything went as planned, stayed up until 3am taping off the graphics. Which we started about 11pm. Re scuffed everything today at class, threw down the black, sealed the front fender, mirrors, and inner cowl thingies, sprayed clear over everything... its such an amazing mirror finish and I haven't even sanded and buffed it yet. Ill put up some pictures tomorrow after 6ish. I work all day tomorrow and then I gotta go back to school to get them.

So left on my list is....

New tires
Sprockets and Chain
Do something to the slip on
Thinking about powdercoating the mid pipe
Put back on the front rotors and rear rotor
Put on bar ends
Put on new grips (when they come)
Put on tank pad (when it comes)
Get stickers (no idea where to get, found some on ebay but dont know the quality of them)
Lower front of bike
Wet sand and wheel
Wet sand and wheel windscreen
Tint taillight, parking lights, rear blinkers (didn't have time to do them at class)
STILL need a right side inspection door
Get carbs synced
Clean carbs before spring
Need new helmet..... Well past due for a new one

So as you can see, there are tons of things to do before spring arrives...

Any luck on the torque specs???

Thanks!!!

Great job on the prep and paint. I'll make sure to use this thread as a guide when I have to do my plastics. I have a question though. You said the plastic repair epoxy you used required a special gun. Why can't you just put equal parts on a sheet of cardboard and mix it up like body shops do with bondo? BTW here's the torque specs for a f3..should be close if not the same for most exterior pieces/bolts.

Edit* pictures were too small.

The bike looks beautiful in Orange.

It's going to be stunning when it's all back together.

Thanks ^^^

Thanks for the torque specs too!

Actually if you check out the first or 2nd page its got a pic of the stuff, it needs a special gun because its like 2 tubes of caulk put together and its got funny looking nozzle that mixes them perfectly.

I have a write up on it but I didn't do any step by step pics.

PICTURES TONIGHT!!!

Everything is done paint wise, the only thing I have to do is wet sand the whole thing and wheel it out.
