I want to start by saying thank you. This site has helped me many times.

a little backstory

You’re a braver man than I am, that looks to be a huge amount of work.

What caused the engine to blow up ticking over?

It’s not that bad. Run a couple bottles of seafoam through it she’ll be fine.

Seriously, looks like s fun challenge. It’s going to take a good amount of effort but I bet you will get her road worthy. Keep us updated.

I was warming it up after work, left the idle a little too high but then went back inside to grab something I forgot, got stuck in a conversation a bit too long and when I came out the coolant tank was cracked and leaking everywhere. It was a sad day.

if I feel it’s getting out of hand I got a mechanic that’ll will make it road ready for $1000

but I think I can do mostly everything. Except timing and carbs gonna need help on that

Ouch, I guess that the fan failed?
