Question About Useing 95-97 Fairing on a 94 CBR 600 F2
Hola, I just bought a 94 CBR600 F2, The Fairing needs to be replaced and I found a few fairing kits, (see links below) I was wanting to know what problems I would run into if I used the #2 fairing kit on my bike versus the #1 kit. I like the way #2 looks although its for a slightly newer bike. The bike I bought is in Excellent shape mechanically, just needs some prettying up. Thanks

Well the only things you'll be running into is the fairing stay for the f2 isn't exactly a bolt on process for the f3 upper. The mounting holes for the upper part of the fairing stay don't line up, and neither does the positioning of the f2's holding point for the headlight. Also, your f2 headlight is different from the f3 headlight which means you would have to switch headlights. If you plan on changing your headlight, and the fairing stay for the "flush stock" look, then I say go ahead and do it. If you don't plan on doing that much, then stick with the first kit and make her look hella clean. =) Up to you though.

There is one more thing to keep in mind. The radiators sre different from the F2s to the F3s. I have an F2 with F3 bodywork (the headlight and stay are F3) the vent panels on the sides have to have the front holes widened to allow them to clear the F2 radiator.
No problem. Usually people are cut for the price it takes to have a clean looking swap. But at the same time, you could use less money on your current stuff to make a really clean f2 and keep its integrity. =P

The ONLY reason I went with the F3 body is because the expensive and hard parts had already been done and the majority of the peices that came with the bike were F3. Otherwise I would have stayed with the original body style and probably been happier with the look.
