Putting a '97 Gsxr inverted fork on the F2, need bearing help?!
#12
I bought a set of new head bearings for my F2 - All-***** brand - I think they're better sealed than the stock, but they aren't 100% sealed.
They do bearing sets for front end conversions, and have a conversion chart. They also mention on their website that they can mix and match.

I talked to the guys from Allballsracing.com, they said 999 out of the 1,000 is never a problem with their conversion table that bolt up will be a cinch witht the proper bearings. I already ordered my bearings and will keep the forum up to date. So far for my new Streetkiller/Budget Racer swap;
1. New/used Yoshi Header
2. Fox twin clicker rear shock
3. Used motor w/ only 9K miles
4. 98 Gsxr front end swap(super thick forks)
5. Jumping to Stage 2 jetting
6. EBC Racing clutch
7. EBC Racing Brakes(all around)
I can't wait for Spring when I am done and rideable!

The only straight swaps for an 91 F2 is a 94 F2 (upgraded internals) or f3 forks w f2 lower legs. To do any non f2 fork on the bike you will have to replace the front brakes n wheel/rotors. You'll also have to swap triples and head bearings as this thread covers. Clip ons have to be replaced too. Swapping front wheels means you will lose speedometer/odometer function cause those run off the front hub.
Just things to consider.
