Does the F2 have possible an aftermarket sealed headset to purchase, like Mtn.bikers have. That would alot of problems.

I run Chris King headsets on all of my bikes, and hubs on 2 of em.

I bought a set of new head bearings for my F2 - All-***** brand - I think they're better sealed than the stock, but they aren't 100% sealed.

They do bearing sets for front end conversions, and have a conversion chart. They also mention on their website that they can mix and match.

I talked to the guys from Allballsracing.com, they said 999 out of the 1,000 is never a problem with their conversion table that bolt up will be a cinch witht the proper bearings. I already ordered my bearings and will keep the forum up to date. So far for my new Streetkiller/Budget Racer swap;

1. New/used Yoshi Header
2. Fox twin clicker rear shock
3. Used motor w/ only 9K miles
4. 98 Gsxr front end swap(super thick forks)
5. Jumping to Stage 2 jetting
6. EBC Racing clutch
7. EBC Racing Brakes(all around)

I can't wait for Spring when I am done and rideable!

Hey guys I have a 91 CBR f2 600 , I want to replace the front forks with some 600 rr forks .. Is it a straight bolt in of the stem and triples ? And is so what is the 600 ,1000, 954 rr's years that are straight fit with no mods ?
Thank

F2/F3 uppers n triples are 41mm. Most newer forks are closer to 50mm.

The only straight swaps for an 91 F2 is a 94 F2 (upgraded internals) or f3 forks w f2 lower legs. To do any non f2 fork on the bike you will have to replace the front brakes n wheel/rotors. You'll also have to swap triples and head bearings as this thread covers. Clip ons have to be replaced too. Swapping front wheels means you will lose speedometer/odometer function cause those run off the front hub.

Just things to consider.

My Gsxr fork swap is done. I will send pics soon. Yes, you do have mixed match wheels. But at 60mph can you really tell?

Nope, but I was just letting him know what he was in for if swapping to a diff front end.

Pic would be cool. I'd love to do a USD fork, but not sure I wanna go through all the hassle for this bike. Might just put that effort toward finding a 929/954 to work with.
