Default Play in rear wheel.

Hi all,
Today when cleaning my bike I realised there was a slight movement in my rear wheel, so I held the wheel at either side and when I rocked it you can feel slight play it is very slight but does anyone have any suggestions, thanks.

Not one I have seen before, but man, that sounds scary. Is it like it's sliding side to side, or tilting side to side? Is the wheel tightened and torqued down? Not sure what that could be unless the guts of the wheel are bad or were assembled wrong...

Hi, not sure as I have only just bought the bike, I think from what you guys are saying though its definately worth a trip down 2 local bike shop and let them have a look. It does feel like a kind of bearing fault, just going off how it feels when a car wheel bearing goes, thanks all.
