SO... I fixed my leaking gastank buy purchasing an newer one and coating it. that went perfectly. However.. when I put everything back together the petcock started leaking and also the bike wont start. (just turns over). I cant figure out if its leaking from the threads to the tank or from the actual petcock.any help ASAP would be greatly appreciated as I haven't been able to ride for over 2 weeks now.

 

you did get the rubber oring back in there didnt you? Also make sure gas is coming out of the petcock when you turn it on.....just unhook the rubber hose and see what you get....

 

there was no rubber o ring. so i'm guessing the previous owner didn't have it either. i got some fuel resistant gasket maker and slapped it in there. so far its holding. i did get it started and it purs like a kitten!
