Older 600's vs newer 600's
This person is trying to sell you on the concept that the F2 doesn't compare to modern fuel injected bikes on "getting to top speed". They're wrong
In the twisties is awhole new section. The stock suspension is subpar. With a bit of upgrading though (re-springing, F2/F3 forks, f3 rear shock) it compares quite favorably, and again you won't notice the difference until you're up against an experienced track rider really giving it their all. That's when this bike become lackluster. That number is again, a bit more like 5-10% of all riders and riding situations, depending on where you live. Portland seems to be full of track all stars...

The F4i responds quicker. Power is availible quicker and across a broader RPM range. Top speed.... splitting hairs. Both bikes easily hit Stupid Speed as I said. But I do know both of my bikes. There's nothing here to try and sell. Glad your F2 performs so well against newer bikes.
How much did you say you've invested in your bike?
get on a 2010 cbr600rr.
You will get off, only to take a **** on your f2, and then continue riding the loveliness.
The new 600's are about a second faster in the quarter, that is huge. Not only are they faster and quicker, they are more agile, lighter, and mo BETTAH

The 2006 or so and newer 600RR... yeah it does destroy the F2. Given that I'm less than $2000 into a bike that will compare favorably against any modern 600 unless the rider surpasses me, I'm plenty happy
I've rode all 3 and I've never been on a track and can tell the difference between all 3. The RR wins hands down, next the F4/i. I'm glad you do so well riding against newer bikes, but maybe you are just that much better of a rider than the riders you ride against.
