Default newer cowls on a older bike

I was wondering if anyone has installed newer cbr1000 fairings on a 1995 or older cbr1000f? I like how the bike looks now but i was curious as to how it would look with newer plastics on it. I am also thinking of repainting the bike. Something real simple not to extreme. i know you really cant see it well but this is how the bike currently is.

Putting RR fairings on your 95 would probably be a nightmare, and expensive to boot. If you're looking for a windscreen, pm me. I've got a smoke screen, a bit shorter than stock, that I'd be willing to sell.

There is a post from one of our Scandinavian members who fitted Blackbird fairings, and a great job he did too. You'll have to scratch around in the history - it has pics and a write-up.
As for 1000 fairings I'm assuming you are talking about RR - ?
Too much money and not worth the effort IMO, as has been said.
Just respray your bike in the blue/gray and silver colours of the Mk2 California bike - then it'll REALLY look nice.
