New Tire
Alright guys, my tires aren't that old yet, but, I need to replace the back tire. I was riding along, and, a guy in a pickup with a 600RR with full race plastics pulls up next to me and told me I had a big screw in the back tire. I looked back and, sure enough, a big a$$ screw was sticking out. I spit on it, and, sure enough, it was leaking air. I then flew home, put some more air in it, and, went and got some green slime and attempted to fix it. But, it didn't work. Tried twice and, since the screw is more toward the side of the tire instead of right in the middle, the slim doesn't fill it too well. SO, I need a new rear tire. I've been running Dunlop 208's. I got a really good deal on a set, but, I can't get the same deal, and, I am finding it's gonna cost me $200 for a new one. I found a website somewhere that sold Metzler's for $130 for the rear tire. THey claim it's the equivalent, but, now, I can't find that website. So, I turn to ya'll. Where do you get your tires? Is there somewhere I can get a 208 for cheaper than $200? Or, am I able to mismatch my front and rear tires? Like I said, the tires are pretty new still. Thanks in advance for any info!!

RE: New Tire
I'm not sure if he is there on the weekends or not. He is down in Maryland. Usually we order a boatload of stuff from him and he drives it up here on the weekends. Give'em a call.
Also Kneedraggers has a qualifier in a 160 size for $131 shipped to your door. And ron ayers has the 160 size for $132 shipped to your door.. ron ayers might get you the tire faster if they ship it from there, they are in N.C. I think.

check www.indysuperbike.com - they have decent prices to, I've bought stuff from all of these places and had no problems with them. GOOD LUCK!
DAMN, sorry, i just thought for some reason you were looking for Qualifiers... my bad, that is an expensiver tire for sure.. still give Sree a call, he might be able to do better for you..

RE: New Tire
check into the new continental "conti sport attack" tires. i just mounted a set before i went to deals gap and didnt have any problems at all with slippage on my 1K. they are dirt cheap as well.
they also make a cheaper "road attack" tire thats what im running on the F2 with no issues at all.

RE: New Tire
The best tyre for the early F2 is the Bridgestone battlax 020
120 - 60- 17 front
160 - 60- 17 Rear
super sticky for corners very hard in the middle with a super silica compound for long straight roads
once these tyres are up to temp' forget about em' and ride like the wind
also the Battlax 014 are good but are more suited to track use they won't last long on the road [:@]
you can mix match tyres as long as the on on front is a softer compound,
the safer bet is to fit a match pair
Bridgestone Battlax 020 £150 pair
£175 fitted
I've used loads from Michelin, Dunlop, Pirelli, and non can match the Bridgestone.
