My bike just started to slip when I hit the throttle hard. Could that mean that I just need to adjust the clutch or need a new one? Could it be the transmission? Any advice would be great.

 

Transmission gears do not slip. They mesh together. Could be the springs are weak or the clutch could be gone. I know the kits with new springs and plates aren't that expensive, so I'd probably replace all that anyway and be done with it. I was going to suggest changing the oil, but of you do the new clutch, you'll have to get new oil anyway, and at the prices they charge these days, you'll be wasting money.
