Default New chain and sprockets

I noticed today I have a tooth broken on my rear sprocket. So I am going to replace both sprockets and chain seeing as though I don't know how old this one is. My question is, I am pretty sure my chain is a 530. Someone said I should go to a 525. Is there a big difference between the two?

Thanks,

Chris

If you want more life out of you chain/sprockets stick with steel sprockets... Not aluminum, they are only really beneficial on a race bike where saving ounces of weight is important.

I'm willing to bet the broken tooth is on an aluminum sprocket?
