Default My F2 Project is DONE!!!

Hey all, it's been awhile since I posted anything concerning my bike. Been working to pay for everything. I've included before and after pictures of my new joy. (Disclaimer; for those interested the following lists about all the modifications and fixes I've done to get from a to b. If you're not interested please enjoy the photos and read no further.)
As you can see the starting point for this bike was pretty rough, though the engine was and is in outstanding condition. The previous owner took a pretty nasty spill which mangled the fairing stay and the rear frame. i replaced the fairing stay and straightened the frame. The wheels were stripped and then painted black, the tail light was replaced along with the headlight, CCT, chain, brakes, levers (twice), turn signals, and radiator cap. The radiator was bent at the point where the cap attaches so that was straightened at the shop (that part i couldn't so myself). To the engine all that was done were your basic tune up procedures, new oil and filter, new air filter, new plugs and coolant. The fairing kit was put in place last weekend and the new turn signal relay will be arriving tomorrow. I can't wait to see the intergrated mirrors at work. As stated earlier the bike has always fired up and continues to be a great ride. Do other F2 owners notice an idle with kinda of a lope to it. The engine really doesn't seem to kick in til >4000 RPM also. I'm assuming that this is typical.
Anyway, thanks for letting me share and take care,
Ralph

That's pretty cool. I hope to transform my F2 as much as you've done to yours.

If your idle is lopey have the carbs sync'd and make sure all of your pilot screws are adjusted properly.

Nice job on the restoration, very clean and classy.

Hey all, in response to the fairing kit I used for my bike, I did purchase it on ebay for about $600 total. My knowledge of motorcycles is pretty limited but I was very pleased with the kit. It is a tight fit and some of the pieces are a pain in the you-know-what to put on but it did come together nicely. There are a few sellers (mostly overseas) that sell this color scheme. It's actually for an F3 but Selina-Moto put that color scheme on the F2 body. If you look closely at my pics you'll notice the blue color graphic is F3. Anyway, long answer but I'm pleased with the quality of the fairing kit, they haven't fallen off yet! Lol
