Hey how are you all? I'm new and from St. Louis. I recently picked up a 92 last week for cheap and going to have me a nice project build and start puttting it together. Its my first bike so I know I'm going to have all kinds of questions as I'm more of an atv guy. But I'm happy and ready to get on it. It only sits as a frame and a rear tire as we speak, so I have a long process to go. But my first question is I don't have the negaive battery cable so do I need a certain kind and is their a certain place to ground it or can it just be ground to the frame? Thanks in advance! I appreciate it a lot.

 

I am in the same boat you are.. I am having to rebuild the bike from the ground up. it runs great but needs everything else... LOL

 

U can should ground it the frame as close to the frame as possible. Id use a thick gauge automotive wire and just bolt to the frame otherwise if ur a purist u can order from one of the many parts supplier advertised here on cbrf. Good luck
