I went down about 3 weeks ago and the damage was minimal at first, just fairing damage and turn signal. I've slowly started seeing more and more problems since then. It started with the radiator leaking so i ordered another one.
After removing the fairings and taking it for a quick spin around the block, i dropped it off at home and came back to start it and the battery was completely . I charged it overnight, and it fired right up the next day and held a charge for a couple more days.
Today, i rode to the gas station a couple miles down the street and on the way back, around a slow corner, lights started dimming and the bike died a couple seconds later. It was completely again! I think the battery is good because it held a charge perfect until i rode it. The only time the bike dies is after a short ride. My guess would be an electrical problem. i dropped it on the right side if that helps any.

What could have went wrong and what should i check?!?! Im almost positive the battery is just fine and the cables too.

sounds like you might of messed with the wiring of the r/r or something.. check your stator as well.. those all would be effecting the charge..

 

Regulator rectifier tends to be the biggest problem piece on these bikes. Start by checking that per the service manual, then check the voltage coming from the stator.

It's probably the R/R however. Mine **** the bed shortly after a doucherino backed into my bike in a parking lot.
