ok so a friend of mine ha a 1992 f2.... we had a bad wind storm at the beggining of the winter and it blew his bike over.... he found it when he came home from work on its side.... before it blew over it ran like a champ.... but know everytime it starts up it has a knocking to it that gets steadily stronger.... i am just trying to get some input before i rip this thing apart and start diagnosising the problems..... he changed the oil so its not that im thinking either cct, needs to respace the valves.... plugs r brand new so its not a misfire.... or a timing issue... any input would be helpfull

Can you describe the knock and what side/area of the engine it's most prominent?

 

im not sure i havent heard it myself im just going by wht he told me.... he said that its a ticking noise that grows larger as the bike runs which sounds to me like either the cct or the valves r knocking.... i am getting the bike next week to look at so ill let u know whn i get it to my house... i was just tryin to get some input before i stip it apart
