Hey all you F2 junkies, Got a question for you. I recently picked up a 93 F2 for $800 dollars, yes thats right only $800. Anyways my question is will a 97 F3 instrumnet cluster fit on this bike? If not what will. Im going to document the rebuild of this bike, paint, body and everything in between. All startin post pics of the bike next week.

Yes and no. It will fit perfectly on the bike, but you will have to have the wiring for the guage panel from the F3 because it is a different plug configuration and you will have to rewire it to match the F2 wiring. Everything will work except the Speedometer. The speedo on the F3 is electronic and the F2 is mechanical cable driven. There is a way to use the F3 speedo using a Gsx-r sensor and pickup mounted to the output shaft on the tranny and a speedohealer. The install is tricky but not impossible. You will have to do this for any guages after 1994.
