Default Ima bad owner i know! Please help

So i completly forgot when i got the bike that i had bought a k&n air filter and put it in the bike. I noticed that the peformance was decreased with it and i(with very little knowledge) couldnt figure it out. So i took the air filter out and replaced it with what they original owner had on it. Socks

Anyways im going to be buying a filter VERY SOON and was wondering what i would need to do to get it to stop lagging. I have heard i need to jet the bike to accomadate for the increased airflow.

I dunno if the bike has stock jets or what. How can i tell? What size jets should i get if i have a yoshi pipe and a soon to be k&n filter?

Any help is so greatly needed! Thank you

I just got a K&N for my F2 as well. Time for me to start looking up information on jets too. Theres a reason I never played with carbs. EFI is so much nicer!

Is streetbike EFI closed loop? That's super awesome if it is.

(This seems like a noob question, but in my defense I come from the offroad world where all EFI is open loop and honestly it can't buy you much more than a carburetor can besides better fuel atomization. I hate EFI as I know it.)

And if it is closed-loop, what's the input signal? My guess is throttle position sensor, but maybe they're advanced enough to have mass airflow sensors on the intakes?

Mystery solved. F4i parts fiche shows an O2 sensor in the midpipe. Apparently the new bikes pretty much have car engines. I respect that type of EFI. To a point (the limits of the fueling map) it can compensate for minor mechanical changes/upgrades. Nice. On that note, I would like an EFI bike.

Don't bother scratching your head wonder "WTF are these?". You know you need to rejet so order a DJ Stage 1 kit.

That's what I did when I opened my carbs and said "WTF?"
