I need stock exhaust?

I need stock exhaust?
Hey guys so i am hoping a stock exhaust could help reduce backfiring when I drop down a gear. And help it run smoother (my RPM's jump around a little in idle) I bought a stock can off ebay but found that the previous owner cut my header to fit the yoshi on there. So I need a new header too. Annnyyywayy do you guys think that replacing the small little yoshi I have would help with this?

RE: I need stock exhaust?
An exhaust that is a little too open can cause it to jump rpm's at idle if you bike is untuned. A good test for that is to let it warm up a little and with a glove on cover up half of the exhaust opening with your palm, allowing only half the exhaust from the muffler to get out. If the bike starts idoling normally you have a lack of backpressure problem. The other guys could probably be more helpful with your other questions.

RE: I need stock exhaust?
Well, as far as tuning goes, if your idol jets are or are not putting enough fuel out to make the engine run right then thats your problem. In my case, with my aftermarket jets, they were putting out to much fuel at idol making it run like crap, so we used the stock ones there, and used the rest of the jet kit and it worked great. You probably need to be tuned honestly. What happened when you tried what I said? Exhausts can make a big difference with how the bike runs, and youdefinatly have to tune for the setup your running.
