Yeah my main problem is at night I have to have the hi beams on and I can barley see. How hard was it to install the HIDs? Also do you happen to have the link to the HIDs that you bought that fit?

And thanks for all the responses guys, I really appreciate it. Also you guys convinced me to keep the original front haha.

That's my install I did on mine. The DDM kit - 55W, Hi/Lo, H4 bulb in a 5000 or 6000K color temp is now $45. Not too shabby.

I get the same thing w/ my F4. ;-)

Perhaps an upgraded bulb change will do the trick. Check out www.candlepowerinc.com. I use their bulbs. Candlepower is stocked in many motorcycle shops as standard replacement now.

Sure. You can always change it later if you want. ;-)

What color is your HID? I went to the DDM site and they said:

"55w kits tend to wash out some of the color of the HID bulb due to the light output( for example, a 55w 8000k will look similar in color to a 35w 6000k kit)."

I am looking for like a nice blue color with no purple in it. It seems that 35w 7000k-8000k is about that color. So does that mean that I should get a 55w 9000k-10000k?

And thanks for the detailed instillation guide!

My 5000K is blueish on startup, but washes out to very white with just a little blue when it heats up.

this is a pic I used for one of the CBR challenges back last year - ignore the Christmas decorations, but you can see my headlight color pretty well in this pic. I was about 200feet away from the bike when I took the picture.

So for a bit more blue, I'd go to the 8000K. I don't know if the 10,000K would get you really blue/purple or not.

If you`re looking for some fairing changes try This page. For example a full Smokin` Joe fairing kit for $595, several different single seat rears, That CREA kit looks pretty cool too, only a little pricy @ $895, but...

I`ll bet if you`d put these on no one will recognise it for an F2...

Almost ordered a few bits myself before finding out what the transport fees would be to Finland...Only about 400$...

I must admit I like my f2, I like to ride it and when I'm not I like to look at it. Mind you it looks better from the rear and side than it does from the front.

Mattson, I dig you man... you're one cool Finnish cat, but the Crea body kit is one of the ugliest things that could ever happen to an F2!!
That kit's been available through Airtech for quite a few years now, if not more than a decade, and I shuddered the FIRST time I saw it!!

Ok, I know this stuff is a matter of preference, I'm just breakin' ***** here... truth is, the tail has potential, but then again, you can get the RC45 type race tail from those guys also, and it looks wicked sweet on an F2! Example:

Yeah, gotta admit it's a ...little too much... Could take one of those rears myself but the transport fees are just unreal PLUS I'd have to pay VAT in customs so the overall cost would propably exeed what I paid for the bike...
