Okay i was going to replace the rectifier on my '94 so i found a good deal on a '05 gixer 1000 rectifier so i bought it and it has 7 wires instead of 5. It has 3 solid black wires, 2 black wires w/white stripe, and 2 black wires w/red stripe. Does anyone know if i can wire this up where it will work, and what wires go where.

 

I think you got the wrong one. Maybe they changed them in 05 because my 04 gixxer 1000 rectifier has 5 wires and works like a charm. Might want to try selling what you have and get a 5 wire 04 rectifier.
