Don't do it... you will regret the loss of agility. Get a CHEAP distance touring bike and hold on to the F2 for daily use and carving twistys.

Anyway, the new bike looks like *** like others have said. As old as the CBR is, it still looks better. Also, not sure what bike prices are doing where you are, but you can upgrade to a CBR 954 for about that $5k and still be a reliable Honda.

Personally, my mouth is watering cause my wife said I deserved a new bike and I got my eye on a few RC-51s. Now that is a nice looking bike, it's a Honda, and they can be had for $5-$6k.
