Hey all,
I'm new to this forum I apologize if I'm posting wrong. I have a dilemma. I bought a 94 cbr 600 f2. Long story short the previous owner replaced the ignition because he bought it on a skid in pieces and there was no key. So he had been using basically a little flat head screwdriver to open the gas cap after digging out the guts. Now that I have it, the locking mechanism just spins inside and doesn't feel like it's attached to anything. And the gas cap is closed. How in the world am I going to open this thing up so I can take it off and put a new cap on? Any ideas? Thank you so much in advance for reading and commenting

 

Well I ended up just completely digging out all the key mechanism so I could get to the pins/slides at the bottom that latch the hatch closed. Couple small screwdrivers while pulling up and I got her open! So no need to reply guys thanks
