Default fuel filter

what kind of fuel filter am I looking for to put inline on my f2?

Fuel filter inline on an F2? I think there is a screen inside the tank, beyond that it's a direct connection from the petcock to the carbs.

If you want to add one, anything that will fit the diameter of the fuel line will work, find something small though so you have room to tuck it away, The cheap $2 ones in the small engine section of advance auto work well

Provided its not the screen type filter, those are completely useless, as they're actually a LARGER mesh than the filter in the tank(which you should NEVER rely upon) I run an automotive style filter in my Hurricane with a paper filtering element for the sake of certainty that it will in fact protect my carbs from dirt. screen/mesh filters are crap.
