I recently had a wreck on my 1993 Honda CBR 600 F2 where i rear ended another vehicle. Everything on the bike was fine besides cosmetic work of course but the front forks have locked up and idk what could have caused it, im going to take it to the nearest shop to get it looked at but i was just curious if anyone knew what would cause it to lock up?

My guess is that the fork tubes are probably bent. Its probably gonna be cheaper to find a used set then to replace the tube and seals. Local dealer might charge you upwards of an hour per fork to disassemble to inspect them.

 

Bent the tubes, replace them pronto.
