Flush mounts
Allright im in the process of takin the old bulky signal lights off and cuttin that huge hump off and fiberglassin everything nice and smooth to make way for some led flush mounts but ive heard on older bikes they draw to much power or sumthing. and im just wondering if this is true if the led's will just be plug n play like the existing lights or if there more to it to make them work properly?

RE: Flush mounts
So seeing as ive been asking a million questions on here today lets make it a million and one has any 1 polished there sprocket? i have my old one sittin in my garage and i want to put it back on cuz i dont like how high the bike revs with the +2 in the back and -1 in the front so i figure ill change the rear back to stock but was thinking of polishing it up would this affect the strgnth of the sprocket seeing as you basically are rubbing some of the medal off to make it shiny and smooth?

LED's will draw less power and more than likely will give you a fast signal rate. Check out Protons at www.hgihspeedtech.com.
Your gearing is essentially +5 up in the rear, yeah that is quite a bit. Try just doing -1 in the front or +3 in the rear.

RE: Flush mounts
I found with my 94 F2 that a -1 up front was great for take off speed, however i lost top end. It was equipped with a Yoshi SP3 exhaust, a K+N filter, and of course the -1 drop. The rear was left stock tooth count. Now my 01 F4I has a 2 tooth drop up front but the power commander compensates for the power loss. Top end is not affected. just my .02

RE: Flush mounts
I believe the sprocket is steel and will rust if you just polish it and dont give it any pertective coat..but I don't see you having any problems with the strength your only going to be taking off not even 1/16th you will be removing the paint and thats pretty much it as long as you dont mess with the top of the teeth you will be fine
