Default Flush Mounts

First off... Hi Guys... i've juss bought a brand spankin' new CBR 600RR '06... ever since i got it i've been visiting this forum on a daily basis [8D]... i've learned a great deal from reading this forum ... now i'm plannin on doin a few mods of my own... i wanted to get some flush mounts, however, they are not DOT approved so i was wondering if it was possible to put on the flush mounts after inspection and put the stock ones on for inspection and repeat... i'm have no knowledge of electric wiring and such so i don't want to buy a set of flush mounts and not be able to keep them on my bike... any ideas, suggestions, advice, or help would be appreciated... thanks in advance!!!

didn't they inspect it when you bought it? Usually they'll do it for free once ya buy a $9000 bike. But just get the inspection done, then throw the flushies on. Or, what most people do, find a shop and get to know some of the guys....then they'll usually let stuff like that slide during inspection....hell, most of my bike is illegal at some point, but it still gets inspected

I bought some Hotbodies a few weeks ago Kid and after looking into it.I learned i was only going to have blinkers and no running(marker lights) and being that my ride is all black and i do alot of riding at night that really didnt bide well with me.So i would say when it comes to flush mounts its all a matter of preference.I did however visit my local Honda dealership and picked up some LP(Lockhart Phillips) Marker/Blinker to slim down the front stock trees and also keep my running light/blinker combo. They had em on new 600's going out the door so i figured they would be legal.Im waiting on a spacer however so i cant post an after pic yet.

where do you live? are you military or something?

IMO Hotbodies are the cleanest, nicest flushmounts.....no running lights though

I have heard guys say they can swap out them in 10 min since do all the time....takes me way longer than that on the front...now a front sprocket chagne...10 min personally...

i'm up in mass CJ and my cousins in the military but not i [8D]... i juss got my bike a month ago and they did inspect it before they delivered it but i juss wanted to make sure the flushies could be swapped in and out to pass future inspections... and yeah i was planning to see if i could get to know some of the guys at the garage but i've juss gotten the bike and haven't had the chance to take the bike to the shop nevermind ride the damn thing since it's so cold up here in mass... but yeah i wanted to get the hotbodies cuz they look nice as hell... the running lights don't bother me i juss want something that looks streamline... well gonna put the order in for the flush mounts soon as i can afford them since i'm broke like crazy after spending 9k on da bike... thanks for the info... good to know that the lights can be constantly changed though

i was thinking about the gregg's, tech, but IMHO the look of one big lens instead of the small one the gregg's has looks sleeker...

what future inspections???
you need to get your bike inspected every year no? like a car unless i'm mistaken
