Flat Black 94 F2
Hi i bought a 94 Cbr F2 a few months back and the paint job on it is pretty old and banged up a bit. im looking to take off the fairings and tank and sand them down and repair what needs to be repaired. i want to have a flat black or gun metal finish but im on a very tight budget. i was gona use the duplicolor primer spray can. any other suggestions of what i should do in the process or what kind of paint or primer i should use. i can add pictures of my bike later if needed. Thanks for the help!
Hello and welcome to the forums man. First off flat black is a pretty easy and straightforward color that can be sprayed easily without having bubbles or drips of paint given that it's not wet when its on the surface. Personally I've used Krylon brand spray paint that you can find at walmart for about $3 and something cents. JNS also has experience with this brand so perhaps he can chime in on this. For clear I've used the duplicolor clear that autozone sells and its done the job pretty good.
Heres my bike last year, the tank was gloss black at the time, but the tail is the krylon flat black on the first one.

Sorry its a late reply but great looking bike man i love that look. i changed my mind about the flat black thing at the moment my fairings are pretty beat up so i might invest into some that are new and already painted.
