Unhappy first crash

On the way to work today I found out how much distance I need to stop on gravel. At the point of acquiring that knowledge I low sided my bike.

I now need a right mirror, wind screen, paint job, and straightened rear brake.

Suggestions?
Advice?

Ebay for everything but the rear brake lever. You can take a piece of pipe and bend it back straight. I had to do this on an EX500 a couple of years ago.

Glad you made it through your first low side relatively unscathed. Good luck and good speed getting back on 2.

mirrors are like 30 bucks new for both sides. you can probably buff those scratches out too. and yeaaaa i still ride with a bent brake lever lol

That sucks. Glad you are OK and the bike didn't get too wrecked.

Any pics of the damage?

Local bike wrecker had F2 mirrors when I was looking, +1 to bending the rear break lever back. ebay for the windscreen.

The plastics will be expensive to replace... can you repair them? Plastic-weld/melt fairings to fix fairly substantial cracks (then sand and re-paint of course).

Default windscreen options

Thanks for the input, guys. There a wide range of choices for windscreens on ebay. Are some better (thicker?) than others? Now that I have to buy a new windscreen, any suggestions?

thanks,
Mark

it's barely used at all. it's just different enough from the one i used to have to make me not like it. $20 shipped if your in the US. i have a stock mirror, too if you want it make an offer. which fairings are damaged? i might have some of that, too. i'll be home this weekend to grab stuff.

Default Still need a mirror

So the mirror I purchased is not nearly as good as my left side OEM mirror. Still looking for a right side mirror that is OEM.
