The F2's Reliability?
Just how many screw should I be looking for to remove the right side engine fairing and tail fairing? Also is there any trick to removing these easier or should I be expecting certain things. I'd consider myself a little more handy than average so I figured I'd give this infamous CCT a shot. It doesnt seem as tho anyone reccomends a proffesional due to the high prices, or am I wrong. Thanks for all the help guys I had no clue.

I suggest getting a manual or downloading one off the net. Tail fairings just pull off(just one big plastic screw), but grab it from underneath so you dont crack the end.

My 91 F2 had 95,000kms on it when it dropped a valve (I should have fixed the valve when I heard it clicking but was lazy/broke) now I have another engine in it (54,000kms) and it only cost $300.
Probably the best built most reliable sport bikes you can buy (CBR's not just the F2).
if you haven't figured out how to get your fairings off yet... just try! it is not hard... as long as you don't just heave on them you won't break anything... feel where they are attached and then look! (really not that difficult to figure out)

I just wanna say that i have a 93 f2 with 71,000 miles and it still starts right up! I've had several problems with it but most have been from my own neglect or stupidity. As you'll hear from everyone these bikes tend to have regulator/rectifier problems which has led to many batts and 2 r/r for me but other than that it's hella reliable! Mine's a daily driver but it's at the time where it needs a whole new clutch, cct, valve job, brakes, rotors, hoses, and cables but **** for 71,000 miles it's prob bout time for it all anyway. Just wanted to weigh in on the reliability and let you know that here and there you'll have to fix things that break but that'll be with any bike you get. Get yourself a clymer book and keep her maintained and you'll have a bike that'll stand the test of time!!!!!!!!!!!!! holla
