Hey man you'll have to use the clutch with the f2. It doesn't have the wheelie power of a 929RR LOL. At least your F2 starts. Mine will not, I'm very depressed!!!! lol

RE: F2 Wheelies
hey,
i just went out and tried to pop some wheelies on my 94 f2. i tried the no clutch method because i felt most comfortable with that one. i figured if i wasnt using the clutch it would be esier to put down if i needed to. at first i started out at like 3500 rpm's. just to be safe. and i got nuthin. so i worked my way up. with my bike(43 teeth in the rear, i belive thats stock) i found i had to have it at like 5200rpm's, let off the throtle and push on the bars to compress the shocks, and then gun it. i figure if i keep playin around i can get it perfect. i highly recomend the no-clutch method. just keep playin around till you get it

RE: F2 Wheelies
for a 3rd gear wheelie on a f2 i found out yesterday you have to put both methods to work cuz ur already going like 80. So just rev it up let it drive and compress the forks then pop the clutch at almost red line and you should pic up. But i found that its just as hard to do as the no clutch method in 2nd gear. So practice will make u better at it.

RE: F2 Wheelies
i got an oldschool 91 f2 ..
And I have no problem gettin the front wheel up in first gear..on my bike the powerband starts around 5500
I just go about 7000 rpm's then snap the throttle quick and release ..then snap it a second time and hold it and it'll go straight up no problem..just be careful on the comedown if you are too high up and dont land it correctly ..I've seen numerous guys come down and then go out of control and wipeout so bad it makes you want to not ride again....or its also easy to damage forks if you come down too hard.
There aint a day goes by I'm not doing wheelies ...just be smart about it

RE: F2 Wheelies
hey, i also have a 929 and an f2. They are both stuntbikes but my f2 is a parking lot only bike. I am 20 up on the rear sprocket, but i learned with stock gearing, so yes the f2 can wheelie just as good as any other bike. Learn to use the clutch and it will all come to you after that, just start small and BE CAREFUL!! oh yeah, keep the back brake covered too.

I hear that also if you learn how to clutch you can do it alot safer... I found out im on stock sprokets not aftermaket.. Anyone wanna point me to some aftermarket ones... Dont wanna go stupid but i wanna get some more out of this bike so i can pick up the front with ease...

RE: F2 Wheelies
To wheelie my F2 (one tooth down on the front sprocket, plus the usual power bolt-ons), I accelerate briskly (but not fast) from a stop in first gear. When I get to about 7000rpm, I just roll on the throttle hard. I don't quite snap it wide open, but close. As the front end starts coming up, I back off the throttle a bit so I don't loop the bike and then when I've got the front wheel up as high as I want, I just modulate the throttle to keep it there until I am about at redline, and which I reduce the throttle to bring it back down as gently as possible and then shift to second.
This takes practice and getting a feel for the bike. There are times I've tried to wheelie my 1000 in first and just gotten on it at the wrong point and not gotten much air. And if I've been riding my 1000 around for several days and get back into practice with wheelies on it, I feel like I have to relearn how to do wheelies on the F2. And vice versa.

RE: F2 Wheelies
first gear ups are somewhat easy. just bounch the forks a little and lift while letting off and then grabbing the throttle. i havent had it up so high and fast that i felt out of control. second gear is the same thing. im not sure how high you need to get the rpm's, but just lean back quick and pull back while giving it some throttle. after playing with it a little, youll see what works best for you
