I need to have a look at everything to see what kind of shape the plastics are in. I did see some cracks.

And with the F3 gauges and F2 engine, you won't have a working speedometer.

Good luck, post pic and keep us up to date on how it's going.
Threw more parts on to see what it really is. I say F3 bodywork on the F2 bike. Plastics need work, so now I have to figure out if I go back F2 or replace with F3 again. Cluster will need to be replaced with an F2.

I like the way the all orange looks. Bodywork looks in pretty good shape, shouldn't be too hard to fix those cracks.
Judging by the seat, you may have a mouse problem, lol.
And you'll have to replace the front rim too.

Replace the front rim? For the speed sensor?

if you use F2 gauges, you have to use an F2 front wheel.

I might look at other options for speedometer. Checking aftermarket for options.

I'm curious, can you take a pic of the back of engine without the head? - the circled area.

Very interesting. You are correct that both engine id # show as 93 F2.
But I think the engine number is wrong. The 2202 looks offset upward.
I'm guessing you aren't in the US or UK?

But here's what I can tell you - the engine without the head is an F3 engine.
It's got the stock F3 cam chain tensionser and more importantly the stock output shaft speedo pickup.
It's the 3 wire 2 bolt sensor in the first picture. No F2's ever had those.

The second engine is an F2, it's got no place on the case for the speedo pickup.

Here's a thought for you. If you swap the head and carbs from the F2 engine. Put them on the F3 block.
You can then use the F3 gauges and front wheel.
The F2 carbs will fit either F2 or F3 frame and you avoid all the ram air & tps sensor issues.

Interesting.

The engine with the head off was what came in the bike when the person I got it from bought it. It was a running bike at the time. I have the head partially assembled. I will have to get pictures of the other pieces I have for the disassembled engine. Maybe someone did an F3 conversion on the F2 frame. Or it’s some kind of oddball bike, lol. So I guess I need to put the other engine back together and I can sell the F2 spare engine I have.

I’ll get some pictures of what was on it for the head/carbs.
