F2/F3 Conversion

F2/F3 Conversion
I read through a few threads, trying to figure out exactly how to do this, and just had a few concerns/questions. Here's my situation:
Have a '91, plastics all nastied up. Rather than buying a blank fairing set for an f3 to put on, would this be an alright investment? Called them up, they're drilled, painted, etc. Not sure exactly how 95/96% "fit" was calculated, but the rep said it should be fine: $850 shipped
Fairings
Also, I'm aware I'm going to need a new seat, probably just going to invest in this (#1): $187
Seat
and a tail light: $105
Lights
All in all, looking at about $1200, including shipping, and buying replacement bolts (original owner of my bike wasn't able to find all of them). From what I've read, the upper/lower fairings should match up fine, and the tail section as well?
Clicky says I need a new headlight as well. But my real question is, is this conversion as simple as I'm thinking? Or is there something big I'm missing?

RE: F2/F3 Conversion
Don't you need an F3 front fairing stay (birdcage) as well as the f3 headlight?

RE: F2/F3 Conversion
Yeah, it's a bummer, and I figured if I have to shell out a lot for an oem body, I might as well just go all out and give it a newer look. I was reading this post
from another guy (link)
and it seems like he made most of it fit, except for the parts I had already planned on buying. A question on the front stay: it seems like he just drilled new holes. AFAIK the F2's didn't change much frame-wise so hopefully I'd be able to do the same. Could you guys shed any light?
Also, is this pretty much everything I'd have to do?:
Drill new holes or replace front stays
New headlight
New tail light + seat
New windscreen
Anything I'm missing?

RE: F2/F3 Conversion
Well i think some of the ideas are mixed....There are two types of F3's the 95/96 and the 97/98.
The only difference is the tail end which you will need to get a 97/98 tail light, tailight bracket, seat and tail fairings. If you are getting an 95/96 tail end you can use your same tail light and seat so you don't have to buy those.
You will need the f3 front fairing stay and headlight 95-98 any work.
Hope I could help.
Edit: You will also need the F3 windscreen, Plus check out ebay they have some nice looking F3 fairing sets for around $500 shipped.
