Default F2 Carb Sync

Ok so my bike has a MAJOR hesitation between about 3-6k RPM...it is soooo sluggish.

So I bought my joint boosts, built a homemade manometer, and hooked it up.

However, carb 3 pulled the 2-stroke oil SUPER fast...way faster than the rest.

What is a better way to do a carb sync? Nobody in my area seems to do one for these bikes anymore.

Which way do i turn the adjustment screw? I cant even leave the bike on long enough to do an adjustment...the oil would get sucked in the carb and white smoke my garage

Thanks,

Brandon

Get one of these. Not fluid based.

$83.95 from holeshot performance

Before I did my carb sync, I inspected the throttle openings while the carbs were out for cleaning. With a flashlight shining on one end and looking through the other, I adjusted the sync screws until all openings are as uniform as I can get them. When I did my sync, I barely had to do any adjustment. I learned to do this with my older Virago V-Twin.

In your case, I'd expect the opening on carb #3 to be bigger than the others. If not, there maybe other issues - not uniform compression, vacuum leaks, etc..

As suggested above, you don't need to take out the carburetors with a sync tool.

Is there anywhere I can buy those gauges instead of paying $83.

What are those gauges called, they just measure vacuum pressure?

are you just using pipe? you need to have a football pump needle type of thing in each line to reduce the suction

Yes...I was using just pipe...i suspect I need to put something in the line. Like a football needle you say?

What have you used and where do I get it?

Im going to give this homemade manometer one more chance.

If you use a heavier fluid, it won't move as fast. If the liquid is getting sucked out of the line into a carb, your sync is way off, or you have a leak in the line somewhere...
