Please HELP! Newbie here, have a 1992 cbr 600, just bought it from a friend this last week, and the carbs are leaking fuel bad. Had the carbs redone about 1 1/2 years ago and has sat since. I replaced entire fuel petcock valve thinking it had something to do with it, but it seems like its coming around the area where the fuel inlet lines split into two right at the carbs. If the floats were sticking, it would seem like it would be lower......ideas or suggestions? thanks

 

Knowing carbs (not CBR...I just bought mine a few weeks ago)..sounds like they need to be cleaned again...to could be anything from the chole the float not seeling fully or a cluged jet...is it all four carbs or just one???

mine has leaked before and it was the T in between the carbs..the one that join the 2 carbs together for the fuel line and i wiggled it and it went away??? dont know if that helps?

or a cracked line maybe?

 

4 and 6 are what leaked on mine..they should be able to wiggle..

After taking gas tank off, no gas lines up to it......could still see quite a bit of fuel leaking at bottom of bowls.......almost looks likes coming from the T's at the top where fuel line comes in, but with no lines on it........still fuel is leaking.....thoughts??

I would agree.........thought maybe mine was leaking between 4 and 6 too......but with no fuel lines on that T bar......tank off.....it continued to leak......
