Default Exhaust Question

Howdy all...

I had searched but no luck but LOVED checking out the great mod's and efforts. Kudos to all. I have a '91 F2 that has been a track bike since purchased back in '93. I haven't had the time to race for the past couple years and really want to get this great bike back on the road. I am currently gathering parts and will convert it but before I get deep into the body I want to do some exhaust work.

Is it possible to convert/mod down tube to accommodate under-seat exhaust like the new RR's? And has anyone done it or are there any kits?

Thanks everyone...

It takes a bit of work from what I have researched. I am thinking of doing it but haven't had the time, and paint comes first.

you can do a custom undertail type, but you have to get creative and do some in house fabrication to make it work.

Just keep in mind that since the bike is not made for it originally, you may have to do some crazy routing which in turn could mean things like extra weight and HP loss, not to mention a really hot piece of pipe sticking out where you can burn yourself. When you look at bike with undertails stock they have indentions in the frame to route the exhaust, or even pass through the swingarm, it order to keep things out of the way.
