does the screen make much difference?
Hello everyone...I bought my bike with the screen cut down very short because it was damaged by the previous owner in a slow speed crash, its only a couple of inches tall and follows the shape of the nose fairing...I am obviously going to replace it for cosmetic reasons but I was wondering how useful it really is. Does it make much difference to the speed of the bike when you crouch down behind it? I have hit 140mph and the wind is really intense....do you think the screen is cosmetic or am I wasting my money going for a double bubble type?......I appreciate your replies guy's.
No you are not wasting your money, the screen makes a big difference in the resistance of the wind on your body. The double-bubble style will make even more of a difference from the OEM style screen.
a screen only makes a difference if you can tuck down low enough to get behind it. Otherwise, no screen will make a difference as you'll still experience buffetting and be a source of air drag for the rest of the bike.
Congrats on the windscreen. You'll notice a HUGE difference!
Who did you end up ordering through? The only one i could find selling one for an F2 was Zero Gravity
