Default Checking the R/R and the stator....

Ok gang... I bought a multimeter to check the charging system. I have also printed out the instructions that were on here in the forum to check the battery, the R/R and the stator. It appears to me that I will have to remove the lower rifht fairing to acces the wiring to te stator. Is that correct?

No.... nothing as of yet... mainly becuse the multimeter I bought from Advanced Auto sux! it did read ok on the Battery at idle and at rev.. right where it should be to indicate it is getting a charge.. but I went ahead and tried checking the R/R and got no reading at all. So I either did it wrong or the meter sux. i will let the pros check it at the shop.

Update.... seems to be fine these days.. I will jsut chalk it all up to not strting the bike correctly becuaseI have been riding good distances and no problems. if anything I probably just need the carbs cleaned.
